I kinda promess myself that I would not shoot from my window anymore, but... It's so hot lately, that it's been pretty hard to go out except for going swimming, and also, it's been a long time since I last saw some clouds around... lol

So, as I couldn't resist the shot, I decided to try something that I haven't done before.

THIS IS NO HDR. Just ONE exposure using the "black card technique". Actually, I've used my hand, but its still called black card... lol

Also I've tried out a bunch of post processing tricks that I haven't tried before.

Hope you folks enjoy it!

Thanks!

Well, I'm sure you'll find better explanations googling it, but basically, you do 2 meterings: 1 for the dark area (in this case the sea) and another for the bright area (the sky).
In this picture it was 25 secs for the dark area and 13 secs for the light area.
Then you set your camera to the longest exposure of the two (25 sec).
As I want to expose the bright area (the sky) just 13 secs, while exposing, I cover this area with a black card for 12 secs (25 minus 13) and shake it a bit, so it wont make a hard transition on the photo...
As I stated at the pic description, you can you your hand instead of a card... ;)
That's it! =)

Wow what a clever technique! Sounds like it'll take some practice but I accept this challenge :P
Thanks so much for the tip! It definitely worked for you!
